For this, you need 3D models for the components. WSCAD already provides 3D models for the demo project. You can import additional 3D models from the electrical CAD data portal wsacduniverse.com into the WSCAD SUITE. You then just have to assign the 3D model to the part of the component.<\/p>\n<p><u>Prerequisite<\/u>: You need the WSCAD SUITE <strong>Cabinet Engineering<\/strong> module in the <strong>Expert<\/strong> version for this purpose.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1520848499307{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}&#8221;]\n<h2><span lang=\"EN-US\">Procedure<\/span><\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1520848519676{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}&#8221;]\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Check if 3D model exists in the WSCAD SUITE<br \/>\n<\/strong>In the 3D view of the cabinet, you can check for which components no 3D models have been assigned to the component&#8217;s parts. You have the following options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + o<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>via the menu <strong>View<\/strong> | <strong>Cabinet 3D view<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><u>Note<\/u><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">: Components without a 3D model are shown schematically as a cuboid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> On the cabinet page, click on the context menu command <strong>Properties<\/strong> next to the component.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Click on the Customize symbol button in the <strong>Part<\/strong> row. The part is imported.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Click in the part list on the <strong>3D Data<\/strong> button at the desired part.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. <\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">If you are downloading 3D data for the first time, you need to register with Cadenas<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">a) <span lang=\"EN-US\">Click on the <strong>Accept license agreement<\/strong> link and read the license terms<\/span>.<br \/>\nb) <span lang=\"EN-US\">Then select the <strong>Accept license agreement<\/strong> check box in front of the link<\/span>.<br \/>\nc) <span lang=\"EN-US\">Enter your email address in the <strong>Email Address<\/strong> field and click on the symbol button at the end of the field<\/span><br \/>\nd) <span lang=\"EN-US\">Enter your user data and then click <strong>OK<\/strong>, You have successfully registered with Cadenas<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. <\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Click on the <strong>CAD download <\/strong>button<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><b>5<\/b><strong>.<\/strong> <span lang=\"EN-US\">Select the desired STEP-CAD format.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><u>Note<\/u>: <span lang=\"EN-US\">Both STEP formats offered can be used for the 3D view. A 3D model is created in the form of an obj and an mtl file.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][image_with_animation image_url=&#8221;597&#8243; image_size=&#8221;full&#8221; animation_type=&#8221;entrance&#8221; animation=&#8221;Fade In&#8221; animation_easing=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_movement_type=&#8221;transform_y&#8221; hover_animation=&#8221;none&#8221; alignment=&#8221;&#8221; border_radius=&#8221;none&#8221; box_shadow=&#8221;none&#8221; image_loading=&#8221;default&#8221; max_width=&#8221;100%&#8221; max_width_mobile=&#8221;default&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>1.<\/strong> <span lang=\"EN-US\">Click in the main menu of the WSCAD SUITE on <strong>Tools <\/strong>| <strong>Master data <\/strong>| <strong>Part management<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Enter the part for which you downloaded the 3D model in the <strong>Search<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. <\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Click in a cell of the part and press the F4 key<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><b>4<\/b><strong>.<\/strong> Scroll to the WSCAD field <strong>3D Model<\/strong> and click on the Customize symbol button at the end of the row. The 3D Properties dialog opens.<\/p>\n<p><b>5<\/b><strong>.<\/strong> Click at the bottom of the <strong>3D Model<\/strong> field on the Customize symbol button.<\/p>\n<p><b>6<\/b><strong>.<\/strong> In the Explorer, select the item <strong>STEP (*.stp;*.step)<\/strong> in the drop-down list behind the <strong>File name<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. <\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Navigate to the storage location of the unpacked ZIP file and select the STEP file<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. <\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">The 3D model is automatically created from the STEP file and stored as obj and mtl files in the WSCAD directory &#8220;<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">3DObjects&#8221;<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">. The 3D model is displayed in the 3D Properties dialog<\/span>.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1520850875382{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}&#8221;]\n<h2><span lang=\"EN-US\">Changing the 3D model<\/span><\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<span lang=\"EN-US\">In the 3D Properties dialog, you can customize the 3D model if required. For example, the 3D model may not be aligned properly. In that case, you must define a front side.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][image_with_animation image_url=&#8221;599&#8243; image_size=&#8221;full&#8221; animation_type=&#8221;entrance&#8221; animation=&#8221;Fade In&#8221; animation_easing=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_movement_type=&#8221;transform_y&#8221; hover_animation=&#8221;none&#8221; alignment=&#8221;&#8221; border_radius=&#8221;none&#8221; box_shadow=&#8221;none&#8221; image_loading=&#8221;default&#8221; max_width=&#8221;100%&#8221; max_width_mobile=&#8221;default&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>1. <\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Define the front view in the <strong>Define the front view<\/strong> area. The view set here is defined as a front view when saving the dialog<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">a)\u00a0 <span lang=\"EN-US\">You can rotate the component in the 90\u00b0 grid around the 3 axes via the symbol buttons <strong>A<\/strong>, <strong>B<\/strong> and <strong>1, 2, 3, 4<\/strong>. Blue-bordered symbol buttons show the front view suggested by the program<\/span>.<br \/>\nb)\u00a0 <span lang=\"EN-US\">You can also rotate the component with the symbol buttons outside the 90\u00b0 grid and zoom in and out of the component. However, the front view can only be stored without zooming in the 90\u00b0 grid. Use the right arrow symbol button to jump to the front view closest to your setting in the 90\u00b0 grid. This view is also saved. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> <span lang=\"EN-US\">If the X, Y and Z axes below the <strong>Define the front view<\/strong> area are shown in green, the dimensions resulting from the rotation match the dimensions from the part record. If one or more axes are shown in yellow, the dimensions differ slightly from one another; if they are shown in red, the deviation is considerable.
