This video tutorial focuses on the easiest way to place new parts and symbols in your project. It demonstrates various methods and tools that help users efficiently find components and integrate them into their schematic.
The video outlines several methods for placing components:
- Quick Search: This is presented as the easiest way to place new parts. When searching, for example, for a main switch, the results are sorted into commands, simple symbols, parts, and also macros. The choice is up to the user. The user can choose a macro, double click on it, and it appears at their cursor. Alternatively, they can select a single part and place it into the schematic.
- Handling Potentials and the Command Line: Users are able to expand potentials up to the next page. They could copy the potentials from there, or simply go to the next page and place the item straight from the command line. On that page, users are also able to place new symbols and paths.
- Symbol Explorer: If users do not know all the specific descriptions and names of all the symbols, they are able to use the symbol explorer. The symbol explorer contains a lot of libraries where users can choose from a lot of symbols.
