How to load a part list
You can compare parts from an Excel list (BOM = Bill of Materials) with the parts in wscaduniverse.com and download the parts found as a zip file. This zip file you can then import into the WSCAD software. This allows you to download large quantities of part data (max. 5,000 parts) in just a few clicks.
The Excel list required for this must have a predefined format so that it can be read in correctly. The Excel list can therefore be downloaded as a template.

- Click on the icon in the title bar of wscaduniverse.com and then on the menu command Bill of Material.
- Click on the Download template button and save the file “wscaduniverse-bom-example.csv” to a location of your choice.
- Open the Excel template and copy your data into it.
Note: In the first column, indicate the manufacturer, and in the second column the part number. Optionally, you can specify the norm that is needed. - Save the Excel list as a csv file, separated by semicolon.
- You have 3 options to upload the list:
- Drag and drop the Excel file into the marked field.
- Navigate to the storage location of the Excel list using the Select from your computer button and click on Open.
- Click on the Make list manually button and fill the Excel list with the desired parts using the Add part button.
- Click on Search with this list. The system now automatically validate your data.

- If required, you can display the parts and their part details with Show all parts.
- Click on Download parts. The parts are packed as wspak files in a zip file and can be downloaded by you. In the WSCAD software you can import the zip file via Tools | Master data | Import data package.
